Muscat, Oman<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>

In a remarkable display of national pride and architectural ambition, Oman is poised to unveil its tallest flagpole, a 126-meter-high structure, in the heart of Muscat’s Ministries District.<\/span> This monumental project, situated within the newly developed Al Khuwair Square, is scheduled for inauguration during the country’s 54th National Day<\/strong> celebrations in November<\/span><\/p>

The flagpole, equivalent in height to a 40-story building, will be the tallest man-made structure in Oman.<\/span> Constructed using 135 tons of steel, it features a base diameter of 2.8 meters tapering to 0.9 meters at the top.<\/strong><\/span> The pole will hoist an Omani flag measuring 18 by 31.5 meters and is equipped with an aircraft warning light system to ensure aviation safety<\/span> .<\/p>

This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Muscat Municipality and Jindal Shadeed Iron and Steel, a subsidiary of the Jindal Group.<\/span> The project aligns with Oman’s Vision 2040<\/strong>, aiming to foster sustainable urban development and enhance public spaces<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>

Al Khuwair Square is designed to be a vibrant community space.<\/span> It will feature lush green areas, palm trees, walking and cycling paths, an outdoor arts and crafts exhibition area, a skate park, and designated sports zones.<\/span> Public amenities include restrooms and a parking lot accommodating 107 vehicles<\/span> .<\/p>

His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, expressed appreciation for the public-private partnership that brought this project to fruition.<\/span> He emphasized the flagpole’s significance as a symbol of national pride and a testament to Oman’s progress<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>
